Dean Arnett is an award winning picture editor with over 30 years experience of editing. He has worked on documentaries, current affairs, drama, corporates, news and features. He has edited on platforms from 16mm Steenbeck decks, Sony 1inch open reel, Sony DigiBeta, Lightworks, Quantel, AVID, KineMaster, FCP 5 through to FCP X and Adobe Premier.
Dean Arnett was creating stop frame animation, aged 9 on super 8 film and continues that passion for animation today with Apple Motion, Blender 3d and some Adobe After Effects work.
What separates Dean’s editing work is that it is discrete and invisible when it needs to be, visually striking and stylised when needed but is always engaging by putting the story and emotional narrative at the centre of it all.
He also teaches the craft of editing as well as how to edit using the platforms, FCP X, Adobe Premier and KineMaster to clients such as BBC, Facebook, ITV, STV, GBC and more.
